Mindfulness & Stress Management
for Middle Schoolers
Mindfulness is a proven antidote for the academic, social and emotional pressures that stress out middle schoolers. Research has shown that mindfulness improves focus, mood and self-regulation.
This 7-week class will give students strategies for de-stressing including yoga, breathing techniques and meditation. Students will learn how to chillax without a digital device in a fun class that uses games and team-building to cultivate tolerance of others and self-esteem.
Tuesdays: September 27 - November 15, 2016
4:15-5:15pm (Seven classes; skip Nov. 8th, Election Day)
Fee: $100/residents, $120/non-residents.

Stress Burner Yoga instructors are excited about coming to your school, summer camp, community center, or place of worship for sessions on stress reduction strategies and mindfulness practices for teens and tweens.
After school enrichment classes, one-time evening or weekend workshops, presentations in P.E. or academic classes, as well as staff trainings are options for bringing Stress Burner benefits to institutions serving our youth in grades 6 through 12.
